If we talk about the speed of sound, we must ask ourselves: in what environment? The speed of sound is a characteristic of the medium in which the wave propagates.<\/p>\n<p>The speed of sound in air is about 335 m \/ s. But this is at a temperature of 0 \u00b0 C. With an increase in temperature, the speed of propagation of sound also increases.<\/p>\n<p>Sound travels faster in water than in air. At a temperature of 8 \u00b0 C, the speed of its propagation is about 1435 m \/ s, or about 6 thousand km \/ h.
